The Spelsberg Wallbox Management Tool is characterized by its simple and intuitive operation. All wallboxes in the network are automatically recognized and can be configured centrally. This way, charging networks can be created in just a few clicks. The management of users and access rights is also made considerably easier by the tool: RFID chips and charging authorizations can be assigned centrally and, if necessary, transferred to several charging points simultaneously. In addition, the tool offers full transparency over the charging infrastructure, as the charging points in the network are monitored centrally. All relevant charging data and statistics can be exported and flexibly evaluated by time periods for billing, documentation, or internal statistics. A password protected export of the configuration by the installer ensures maximum security, while end users can use the functions as needed.
Dynamic load management ensures maximum energy efficiency
The advantages of the Wallbox Management Tool become particularly evident in combination with dynamic load management (DLM). In practice, this means that the installed Wallboxes continuously determine the maximum available connection capacity and distribute it evenly in real time to all connected electric vehicles. With the Wallbox Management Tool, large charging networks can be configured quickly and safely in just a few minutes. It is no longer necessary to configure each Wallbox individually.
Wallbox Management Tool in use
A practical example illustrates the ease of use: an underground parking garage in Backnang, Swabia, is equipped with twelve wallboxes distributed across six apartment buildings. The six dynamic charging networks are connected via an IP network. After the automatic detection of the Wallboxes by the management tool, configuration of the dynamic load management and management of charging authorizations could be implemented quickly. The integration of the external Modbus meters was also straightforward through the tool. "Installers can save an enormous amount of time and considerable effort by configuring multiple wallboxes centrally and easily," explains Louis Otting, Product Manager at Spelsberg. The management tool also offers the convenient option to export or import whitelists and to transfer individual permissions to charging networks. This accelerates not only configuration but also the setup of new charging points and significantly simplifies the ongoing management of existing charging infrastructure. "With the new Wallbox Management Tool and dynamic load management, Spelsberg offers a practical solution for efficient and safe management of modern charging infrastructure," concludes Product Manager Louis Otting.
