Schalksmühle/Buttstädt, Germany. Trees, open spaces, blue sky – in the high-tech surroundings at Light+Building 2012, Günther Spels¬berg GmbH + Co. Four leafy trees rise up above the stand, visible at a distance in Hall 8 at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. On a total area of 300 square metres, there is plenty of space for visitors to get familiar with the company, its products, and its philosophy. Spelsberg presents different product groups at four presentation areas. In addition to the certified WKE products for maintained electrical function in case of fire, the focus here is on the rugged, industrial quality housings and junction boxes and solutions to ensure safe electrical installation for photovoltaic systems.
The “Space for you” pledge is an important element of all products and services from Spelsberg. “We want to offer our customers space. Space for installation in our junction boxes, distributors and housings as well as space for the development of tailored products and solutions,” explains Jörn Lindert, head of marketing at Spelsberg. “Space for you” stands for the philosophy that has developed at the company in the 108 years since its founding. Spelsberg has long relied on comprehensive advice and service at every step – from planning through implementation to maintenance. The result: safe and easy-to-install products with space for the customer’s plans. With this concept, Spelsberg has developed into a supplier of high-quality niche products for electrical installation.
For example, the versatile products for maintaining electrical function create space for safe electrical installation in areas needing fireproofing. The cable junction and connection boxes and small distributors in Spelsberg’s WKE fire protection line reliably maintain electrical functionality for 30 to 90 minutes (E30 to E90) in case of fire. They are not only tested according to DIN 4102 part 12; they also have VDE and general building authority (AbP) test certificates.
Under extreme conditions, Spelsberg’s industrial-quality products with the iQ seal are especially reliable. Glass fibre reinforced polycarbonate ensures their high durability, making them especially suited to use in areas with humidity, cold or heat. They also stand up just as well to mechanical stress, and with their protection rating up to IP 68, they provide ideal protection against penetration by water and dust for the sensitive components inside.
