If an external, compatible meter is already used upstream of the PV generation system or the inverter communicates via SunSpec, there is no need to integrate an additional meter. Although this does not correspond to exclusive solar power charging (as the current consumption in the household is not taken into account), the charging process has a high proportion of solar power with little effort involved to upgrade the installation. There are two options for connecting an external meter to the Spelsberg Wallbox: a direct connection or a network connection. Either the meter is connected directly to the wallbox via a LAN cable or the meter and the wallbox are located in the same network with a router with an active DHCP server. To do this, open the Spelsberg Wallbox app and go to System and then to Settings. Next click System integration, and then Active charging current control and follow the instructions in the app. The following parameters must be set:

After completing the parameterisation, click Apply and transfer the settings to the Spelsberg Wallbox via NFC or network communication.
