When it comes to the distribution of electricity, especially in an industrial operations environment, robust yet flexible solutions are required, which can be adapted in a customer-specific manner to the various on-site requirements. This makes it all the more important that the customer can rely on expert partners for the planning, installation and commissioning of the relevant systems. It was precisely this expertise that a leading installation technology company in Europe brought on board to set up a new distribution system, by placing its faith in GTi-ISO switchgear from Spelsberg.
There were several reasons that made it necessary to replace the existing system
Firstly, the company, with over 30 years' experience in the market, had purchased a new injection moulding machine that could no longer be connected to the old distributor. Secondly, this measure was part of a comprehensive modernisation exercise that included the installation of an in-house photovoltaic system. Once work is complete, the new system is intended to power a total of five plastic injection molding machines and several punching machines. Further clear requirements were also set by the customer. The high level of traffic in the immediate vicinity made a flat design necessary, with dust-tightness and flexible expansion options for operational changes also a necessity.
